What is the ABCs Reading Readiness Program?

ABCs with Ace and Christi

For full time students, this is a full-year Level 1 program and is designed for those who have not been to school or who do not yet know how to read. If planning to only enroll part time, this is a 12-15 week course. To begin this program, the student must pass both parts of the Pretest which will be scheduled and administered by our Director, Mrs. Jill Lewton. In the first 12–15 weeks, the ABCs with Ace and Christi program will prepare children for the individualized instruction of the PACE curriculum. The lively and entertaining phonics-based program features cartoon characters, songs, poems, displays, and character-building activities.

  • This program is an exciting, multi-sensory, phonetic reading program designed to prepare a child for reading readiness.

  • They will learn letter sounds, alphabet sequence, and word relationships.

  • Students are helped in his or her physical and character development

  • 100% of the students who complete this program are able to read!

We accept children aged 6-8 years old for this program. We will happily enroll the child full time, or now, we even offer part time enrollment for this program only. From 9am-12noon the students will be immersed in our reading program. They will have classroom time, break time, where they will be able to play with the older students in our large gymnasium or on our gorgeous outdoor playground.

During classroom time they will be learning letters, the phonetics of those letters, the animals that are associated with those letters, as well as songs and a bible lesson. A snack and refreshment will be permitted during designated class time as well.

At the end of our time, the student will be sent home with homework that will need to be completed before the next day. This still gives parents the opportunity to continue to homeschool and stay involved with the child’s learning.

If the student is enrolled full time, the rest of the day will be working on their PACE work at their own individual offices in our main classroom.
